Sophos Network Agent

Sophos Network Agent allows a local network user to authenticate himself/herself to the Sophos XG Firewall with an Android device. Once the connection is established and the user is recognized, the device can be used for browsing through the Internet, according to the current user policy set up by the administrator.

Features:

- Communication is done via an encrypted, secured connection (TLS)

- Additional validation of the connected server

- Easy to use, with minimum initial setup

- Minimum interaction required (bringing the app into foreground automatically authenticates the user)

NOTE

- The app requires network connectivity (Wi-Fi) in order to work. Losing connectivity results into disconnecting the user. Connection must then be re-established in order for the user to be authenticated.

- Please not that if only cellular traffic is turned on or the Wi-Fi network is not the default one, the App will refuse to connect to the Firewall.

- The app works only with Sophos XG Firewall.

- When launching the app for the first time, the "No certificate found" error might be seen. You need to log into User Portal with your Sophos Firewall username and download the required certificate from there. After importing it into the app, the error will go away and connection will be possible. See help section for more information.

- The required certificate can also be imported from file/commander apps and not only from the browser; please note that some apps do not properly set the correct MIME-type and therefore the option to import the certificate is not shown, something we cannot influence. Please turn to other file apps or to the Chrome browser if you experience any troubles.

ध्यान दें

- ऐप को काम करने के लिए नेटवर्क कनेक्टिविटी (वाई-फाई) की आवश्यकता होती है। कनेक्टिविटी खोने से उपयोगकर्ता डिस्कनेक्ट हो जाता है। उपयोगकर्ता को प्रमाणित करने के लिए कनेक्शन को फिर से स्थापित किया जाना चाहिए।

- कृपया ऐसा न करें कि यदि केवल सेलुलर ट्रैफ़िक चालू है या वाई-फाई नेटवर्क डिफ़ॉल्ट नहीं है, तो ऐप फ़ायरवॉल से कनेक्ट करने से मना कर देगा।

- ऐप केवल सोफोस XG फ़ायरवॉल के साथ काम करता है।

- पहली बार ऐप लॉन्च करते समय, "कोई प्रमाण पत्र नहीं मिला" त्रुटि देखी जा सकती है। आपको अपने सोफोस फ़ायरवॉल यूज़रनेम के साथ उपयोगकर्ता पोर्टल में लॉग इन करना होगा और वहां से आवश्यक प्रमाणपत्र डाउनलोड करना होगा। इसे ऐप में आयात करने के बाद, त्रुटि दूर हो जाएगी और कनेक्शन संभव होगा। अधिक जानकारी के लिए सहायता अनुभाग देखें।

- आवश्यक प्रमाण पत्र को फ़ाइल / कमांडर एप्लिकेशन से भी आयात किया जा सकता है और न केवल ब्राउज़र से; कृपया ध्यान दें कि कुछ ऐप्स सही MIME-प्रकार को ठीक से सेट नहीं करते हैं और इसलिए प्रमाणपत्र आयात करने का विकल्प नहीं दिखाया जाता है, कुछ हम प्रभावित नहीं कर सकते हैं। यदि आप किसी भी परेशानी का अनुभव करते हैं, तो कृपया अन्य फ़ाइल एप्लिकेशन या Chrome ब्राउज़र पर जाएं।
